Hotel Stay at PGA National Resort & Spa

Recently, the girls and I took our very first Mommy and Me trip to one of my favorite destinations. Palm Beach Florida. This city is so wonderful for some many reasons, the first is it is where my favorite brand originated, Lilly Pulitzer. I hope after reaching the end of this post, you will consider visiting Palm Beach, Florida and staying with PGA National Resort & Spa.

My husband and I frequent the Palm Beaches, however, its usually just a day trip or passing through on our way to other destinations. We usually stop at a Starbucks, off of the turnpike, and pass right by PGA National. I have been telling my husband for quiet some time to book a relaxing vacation to stay at the resort, but schedules etc. never allowed.

A few months back another blogger and I began discussing our girls trip and where to stay, etc. It was a no brainer to pick Palm Beach Gardens for its location to all we wanted to see and relax at PGA National Resort.

A few reasons why we chose this resort, amongst others.
Location: the resort is 2.8 miles from PGA Commons, 4 miles from the Gardens Mall, 8.5 miles from Loggerhead Marinelife Center, 9 miles from Juno Beach Pier and 15 miles from Worth Avenue area. Also in between some of these top destinations are the Palm Beach Zoo, Rapids Water Park, Manatee Lagoon and the South Florida Science Center.

Resort Amenities: If you want to stay put this resort has everything you may want and need. Spacious rooms with amazing toiletries, poolside cabanas (equipped with shaded area, mini fridge, television and couches), a toddler pool for little ones to splash in, main pool with a walk-in entry access, poolside games (ping pong, chess, corn hole), sandbox with toys, amazing restaurant's on site + room service, a market/café, gift shops, golfing, lovely spa, and so much more.

Price Point: During summer months you can take advantage of Florida/Georgia resident rates as low as $139; and with purchase of adult breakfast at Palm Terrace children eat free. (This is a value rate for Florida and Georgia residents. Proof of Florida ID required at check-in. Rates from $139, plus resort fee and tax).
The closer you get to downtown West Palm Beach the pricier rooms are going to be, and not many amenities. You can't beat the environment, room size and price point of this hotel in comparison to what's around you. Did I mention you also overlook the world famous PGA courses?

Golfing: Are you a PGA tour fan? Our family is, another reason I chose this resort, in hopes to potentially run into a professional; however, we arrived a day too late. Justin Thomas, Tony Romo and other well known celebrities were at the resort golfing in a charity tournament, bummer to have missed them. Ask about the Gold Golf Package when making your reservation, includes accommodations, one round of golf daily, breakfast, golf cart and range balls. During summer months, from just $96.50 per person per night (double occupancy), adults can take advantage of the Summer Escape and Play packages where a daily round of golf is included as well as complimentary breakfast daily.

Hospitality: We were greeted with warm smiles, help with our luggage and friendly bell hops, as soon as we arrived. Typically if staff see two moms with four children they tend to look away, make a comment, etc. The staff at the resort went out of their way to help get us towels, refill ice waters, get the girls beach balls, and make sure we were always the happiest we could be and making the most of our stay. I can't thank the staff enough for making our stay so enjoyable and giving us such great hospitality. Everyone we encountered was exceptional and had genuine conversation with. The staff went above and beyond our expectations during our stay. An added touch, three coolers of fresh flavored water in the lobby, orange, lemon, or cucumber, is so refreshing after being in the Florida heat.

Now a glimpse of our days at the hotel, each morning we woke up ate breakfast at Palm Terrace, overlooking the pool area, they had sum of the yummiest oreo pancakes with oreos mixed in the batter and marshmallow added on top, this was a huge hit for the girls. You can also order specialty lattes in the café near the lobby on the second floor. After breakfast to the pool we went, where the girls literally went from pool area to pool area for three - four hours, no exaggeration.

Lunch by the pool was perfect each day, and make sure to get yourself a Strawberry Margarita, delicious. The girls knew if they behaved all day they would get to pick a treat... Dippin Dots! We ordered food poolside all three days from Wave Bar & Grille, which did not disappoint. It was fresh, hot and really big portions for being served by the pool. The staff by the pool was exceptional, and so friendly. After the girls were tired out we headed back to the room for naps & showers. Then off to explore the surrounding areas, after a day enjoying themselves outdoors the girls just wanted to stay and sleep in the room. There's nothing better than a good nights sleep in a cold hotel room all snuggled up. Each night on our way into the resort we overlooked the beautiful patio with lounge chairs and a fire pit, such a great ambiance for conversations on end.

Our first Mommy & Me getaway was a huge success filled with so many memories made, and a huge thanks to PGA National Resort & Spa for welcoming us. I can't say enough great things about our stay. How could have it been better? It honestly couldn't have, from start to finish was amazing. I cant wait to go back and stay as a family and enjoy the spa, since its a "no children zone." Or enroll my oldest in the Summer golf camp, more to come on that toward the end of the week.

Thanks again to PGA National Resort & Spa, y'all know how to make a Mom and her daughters feel oh so special.
