The Sarasota Modern Review + Sarasota Guide

Are you looking for a quick getaway to a tropical destination that has it all? If Sarasota, Florida isn't on your radar it should be for many reasons.
Downtown Charm. St. Armands Circle. Siesta Key. Lido Beach. The Ringling. Art Galleries and much much more.
The Gulf Coast is known for breathtaking views and beaches; from the white sand to crystal clear turquoise waters who wouldn't want to relax at this destination.

For weeks my husband and I had been researching a mini-vacation to take with the girls within a 200 mile radius of our home. We compiled our "musts," and what we wanted to take away from the trip and quickly came to the realization that Sarasota would be the place to visit. I began scrolling the internet and came across multiple resorts/hotels and boutique accommodations, but The Sarasota Modern stood out to me.

It was love at first sight when we arrived at check-in, you walk into a lobby that is very inviting with a modern tropical twist. We stayed in the residential suite, it was exceptional. I could have stayed for another week, with the space, room amenities, views and ambiance. It is in a very good location, walking distance to Main Street filled with galleries, shops and local eats.
Sits approximately 3 miles from Lido Key Beach and 7 miles from Siesta Key.

Additional Must Sees:
You know when you recognize someone and are not sure where you know them from? Well this happened to me twice.
While staying at the hotel we met other guests by the pool whom live in our hometown, such a small world.
Then upon arriving a man stopped to say hello to the girls and was friendly, after he walked down the hallway I knew he was a celebrity but couldn't think of his name. After hours of jogging my memory I finally realized who this mystery guest was ... Beau Bridges, from the Netflix Series Bloodline. Fast forward to the next day, while waiting at valet he pulled up with some of his family members. We exchanged "hello's" and I made it known I now knew who he was. I later found out he was in the area filming a movie, link to read the article here.

Thanks for stopping by to read, xo Lauren.
