Heart Hot Cocoa Bombs

... and just like magic, hot chocolate bombs are so trendy right now. I’ve seen some 6 packs on sale for $44. I’ll help you make similar ones for under $20.

What you will need:

Heart Mold Tray

Sprinkles

Heart Marshmallows

Pink Edible Glitter

Hot Cocoa Powder

Wilton Candy Melts

Milk

Marshmallow Fluff (if you want to make your mug festive)

How to:

  1. Add Wilton Candy Melts to a microwave safe bowl.
  2. Melt in microwave at 50% power for 60 seconds, stir and then repeat for 25 seconds. Stir again and add an additional 20 seconds.
  3. Pour melted mixture into molds, I sprinkled edible glitter first. You want the mold to be completely lined with chocolate but not filled in.
  4. Place mold in freezer for 10 minutes.
  5. Gently push out hearts from the mold.
  6. Fill 3 of the hearts with one scoop hot cocoa, some marshmallow, sprinkles and edible glitter. Add the bottom half of the heart on top and fuse the edges together with the leftover melts. Place in mug.
  7. I added some pink food coloring to our milk, heated on the stove top and then poured over my heart hot cocoa bomb in a mug. Enjoy.

Let me know if you have any questions or tag me if you try these, the girls loved them and helped create them. This fun treat was inspired by this years Little English Clothing “Be My Valentine” Collection.
