Importance of Car Seat Safety with Britax

Let's rewind back to almost seven years ago when I began my quest of researching the infant car seat I would choose to bring my first newborn baby home in. I had a long checklist of the musts, and the one that exceeded my expectations was made by Britax. Thus, we brought home both of our girls when they were born in a Britax infant car seat, then transitioned then into the forward facing ClickTight Convertible and now we are transitioning to the Grow With You ClickTight Harness-2-Booster car seats for both. I chose to put the safety of my daughters in Britax Car Seats and I hope you will too.
Grow With You ClickTight Harness-2-Booster seat is just what the girls needed (to transition from toddler to big girl). This seat will grow with your child until a booster is no longer needed, it has nine positions (2 recline positions), an impact absorbing base, and much much more.
For more information, click here. Please refer to the car seats specs to make sure your child meets the requirements for the Grow With You ClickTight Harness-2-Booster car seat. Just for reference both of my girls still are in the harness category (must meet both height and weight requirement to move to a booster and use a seat belt to securely buckle in the car).
Car Seat Safety Tips:
  • In the United States of America, car seat laws and regulations vary by state, you can review yours here.
  • always be sure to pull the harness straps in the closest position to the child's shoulders (at the armpits).
  • refer to the car seat manufacturers guidelines for forward vs. rear racing requirements; I strongly advise to follow the highest weight/height for all.
  • don't add unnecessary accessories that are not verified for safe use that could cause harm to your child.
  • all Britax harness car seats are certified for aircraft use.
  • register your product, to stay informed on any recalls or safety issues for that particular product.
  • Britax offers a Youtube channel with videos on proper car seat installation and adjusting.
  • Did you know a car seat has an expiration date? I didn't, it is on a manufactured label on the seat (refer to your user guide to locate where yours is).
  • Discontinue use if a car seat is in a moderate to sever vehicle accident.
Britax will be hosting a sweepstakes to win your very own Grow With You ClickTight Harness-2-Booster seat for your child, stay tuned tomorrow January 31st for more on that.
The girls have been riding in their new seats from Britax and couldn't be happier, and comfier. Key features we love, a slight reclined position for a nap in the car, the armrests, built in cup holder and snack cubby and the cushioning.
